What Piața Neamț is, the rules for products and sellers, how results are ordered and how we moderate content.
What Piața Neamț is
Piața Neamț is a directory and search engine for the products in the shops of producers and craftspeople in Neamț County. It is operated by Neamț County Council (legal notice). You do not need an account. No payments are taken and no commission is charged. You buy from the seller in the producer's shop, on their terms, subject to the information about sellers.
Who can sell
Producers and craftspeople who passed the review of the application can be listed: identification, compliance declarations and, for food, the producer certificate or sanitary-veterinary registration. The Council may ask for clarifications and may refuse an application, with the reason.
Rules for products
- Only packaged products with a long shelf life. No alcohol, perishable food or bundles.
- Real descriptions and prices in lei. No invented prices or reviews. A product without a price says "Price on request".
- Photos taken by the seller or that the seller has the right to use.
- Products that are lawful, safe and labelled correctly (including ingredients and allergens for food).
- No misleading information about the product, origin, price or seller.
How we order results
These are the main parameters, and there are no paid placements:
- When you search for text, results are ordered by how well the text matches the product name, summary and description (full-text search).
- You can narrow by category, area, producer, price and labels, and you choose the sort (relevance, newest, price, name).
- Without a search text, producers are mixed in an order that changes daily so that none is always first. Within one producer, products with complete information (photo, description, price) come before incomplete ones.
- We take no money for ranking and we do not personalise prices or order for each visitor.
Moderation
We may refuse, restrict or remove a product, shop or application that breaks the law or these rules, or after a well-founded report. Moderation decisions are taken by County Council staff; we do not use automated decisions. The seller receives a notice with the reasons and the ways to appeal, and the person who reported receives the decision. How to appeal: Guarantee, complaints and disputes.
Personal data
The search uses no tracking cookies. Data in applications and reports is used only to check them and to answer. Details in the privacy policy.
Liability
The seller is responsible for their products, as the law requires. The County Council makes reasonable efforts to keep the information in Piața Neamț correct, but part of it comes from sellers. Nothing in these terms limits the rights the law gives you as a consumer.
Changes
We may update these terms; the version in force is the one on this page, with the date of the last update.
