Who sells and who is responsible
Every product is sold by the producer in their own shop. Here is who the seller is, what you can see about them and who is responsible for what.
Piața Neamț is not the seller
Piața Neamț gathers and makes searchable the products in the shops of producers in Neamț County. It does not sell products, take payments or charge commission, and it is not a party to the sales contract. The contract is between you, the buyer, and the seller in the producer's shop.
The seller is responsible for the product, price, delivery, returns, guarantee and invoicing. The operator, Neamț County Council, is responsible for how the search works and for the content it publishes itself.
What you can see about the seller
Each shop and product page says who sells. For sellers acting as traders:
- full name and legal form;
- tax number (CUI/CIF) and trade-register number;
- registered address, phone and e-mail;
- whether they are a VAT payer.
A seller who cannot be identified in this way is not listed.
Trader or private person
Each shop says clearly whether it sells as a trader or as a private person with no economic activity (for example a craftsperson who sells occasionally).
- With a trader, EU and Romanian consumer rights apply: information, the right of withdrawal and the legal guarantee.
- With a private person these consumer rights do not apply to that contract. The shop tells you before you ask for a quote.
How we check sellers
Before a shop appears, the County Council asks for and keeps the seller's identity details (name, legal form, tax number, register, address, VAT status) and a declaration that they sell only lawful products. We check the tax number and, for honey, jams and preserves, the producer certificate or sanitary-veterinary registration. This is a good-faith check, not a guarantee of every product.
Personal data of private persons is not published without their consent.
